雪山，高峡，冰川，草原，海滩，湖泊，原始丛林，雨林，溪流，新西兰南岛都可以看到。。。线路仍是英文状态, 附在最后。。感兴趣的可以瞄一眼, 或者看看别的游记的很多线路都很棒，我属于以少走回头路的原则基本条条大路都过了一遍，没什么特殊线路推荐给大家，，过年很无聊，就想拉人去玩，拉谁谁都没空，就找老妈，今年已经送父母去游轮新西兰了一圈，人家说进了公海就吐了2礼拜，没心情玩，所以重新来个深度游，，既然是深度，当然要自驾了。。租了一个5座的房车，很舒适，上下两张双人床，收起来后面是两排座，可以几个人打牌，就两个人有点浪费了，有冰箱，电视，液化灶，水龙头，一应俱全。。。路上很多中国的旅行团巴士，看到都是中国人很热情，都很好奇的上来看看房车。。其实在澳洲房车游还蛮普遍的，，比单独定车和酒店并不省钱，但是省了到处找定酒店的麻烦，，走哪喜欢就可以憩哪，，这边一般到处都有房车公园, 车上也有Camp Sites Map。。租车价钱每个公司不等，我们是大概一天200刀，加全险35，和一些别的租物，晚上去房车公园的话一般10-40刀每晚/不等，2人以上另加一些，，这是2012年春节，基督城可 以不用看了，修缮工作基本没动，市中心还很多路没有通，著名的那个教堂彻底没了，这里也是自然遗产特多的地方，什么 Fiordland, Milford sound，westland, Mt Cook, Mt Aspiring 等那一带都是了。 Fox n Franz Josef 冰川作为世界上仅有的几个最容易进入的冰川，一定要亲临下，，半小时就可以从雨林直接走到冰川脚下，根据天气情况还 可以选择攀冰和飞行等项目。。。主要是现在看多了PS的图片，给大家还原一个真实的南岛。。。

Christchurch airport ( got our motorhome, nice one )—Akaroa ( valcano made harbour, lots of Pipi to dig ) –Banks Peninsula -–Rakaia —Ashburton--Geraldine--Lake Tekapo ( Stunning lake, great tasting water ) —Lake Pukaki ( Glacier fed water gives out a milky blue color, lake winds along the road, great driving ) —Mount. Cook ( Snow capped mountain, scenic drive along the way lots of wild flowers to take photos, 12316 feet highest spot in New Zealand, great camp site at the top end of the road, lots of motorhomes )—Lindis Valley ( shotover jetboats in the gorges )—Cromwell ( capital for fruits, PYO cherries ) -- Lake Dunstan ( super clean n clear water, reserved for the dam, warm temperature ) —Queenstown ( lake side city but water is too cold to dip in, great view for photos ) --Lake Wakatipu---Glenorch ( water along the road, half way through to the end of the road lots of camp sites on the way charges less but no shower facilities ) –Lake Te Anau—Lake Gunn---Fiodland National Park ( splendid wilderness right to Milford, great for photoshots, worth the drive )—Hommer Tunnel ( right before it large chunk of snow/ice on left side of the road ) ---Milford Sound ( Inland stream surrounded by sheer rock faces both sides, not sure why huge fame, photos like GuiLin, some cruises to the mouth in the west end ) ---Te Anau ---Waimea Plains—Gore—Balclutha--Dunedin ( Perhaps the best city now in south Island, home for 2011 rugby world cup, Guinness world record for steepest street at city north Baldwin St. ) --Otago Peninsula ( look for wild mussels, taste yummy )---Port Chalmers---Palmerston--Shag Valley---Ranfurly---Alexandria ( one of my favorite city, clock on top of the mountain, tiny creek just perfect for kids to swim, wild plums all over the city its everywhere no one picks the fruit such a waste ) --Cromwell--Lake Dunstan---Wanaka ( My favorite city in South Island NZ, property price similar to sydney, lake front city with warm waters for 5 months in a yr, great place for kids) --Mount. Aspiring —Lake Wanaka—Lake Hawea ( nice lake for photo but too cold to dip in ) —Sountern Alps--–Macarora—Haast ( Tiny tiny town, whitebait not in season ) ---Young Valley n Haast Pass ( don't miss out the Blue Pool on the road in the forest, its amazing, we got water from there n used for cooking for 3 days, tastes devine )--- Lake Moeraki—Lake Paringa—Paringa Forest—Westland National Park ( getting a bit cool here, probably high altitude coz close to Mt. Cook)—Fox Glacier ( weather always fickle, heavy fog, cool breeze ) —Franz Josef Glacier ( natural icebridge n glacier water, milky silver color ) —Lake Mapourika ( Great fishing spot and photos )--Lake Ianthe—Lake Mahinapua—Greymouth ( stunning road along the ocean, start spotting fur seals on the rocks n beaches ) --Punakaiki ( lots of rock formations along the coast and lots of seals, can get really close to them ) --Parapoa National Park ( The pancake rocks and blowhole )--Westport--Inangahua Junction—Owen River ( aboudant brown trout and salmon ) ---Glenhope--Abel Tasman National Park ( great for photoshots ) —Motueka ( very pretty town, wide roads, endless orchards stretching right to Abel Tasman Area, the only place tourist can fly stunt aircraft ) --Nelson ( Great Wineries along the way right to Picton ) –Havelock ( quiet harbour, fresh mussel from mussel farms, home to a NZ scientist has monument in town centre ) ---Picton-- Lake Grassmere---Clarence River---Kaikoura ( wide quiet beach front car park for whale n dolphin watching ) --Waiau ( Lots of deers and lama on the way from Kaikoura to Waiau, the best host an old NZ couple we met at Waiau motor camp, very home like motor camp site only for 20 bucks ) --Hanmer Springs ( Warm spring pools ) —Motunau Beach ( nothing spectacular )-- Amberley Beach ( again beach fatigue from australia ) --Woodend--Belfast--Lyttleton – Governors Bay ( No wild mussels at all, bit disappointment, has an abseiling park )---Christchurch city tour ( CBD totoally ruined, most modern highrise buildings survived, hotels still standing, most church like buildings brought down still in wreck now, most roads closed with detour signs) 

In a nutshell---Every road is worth traveling, every lake is breath-taking....remember to rent a diesel car coz petrol is about 230c/L
